As a mother, and a human I want the best for my body. I do not want to be addicted to anything and I want to feel calm and less anxious. Natural is the best for me and my family. With a history of addiction that runs though my veins. Personally, I need to be careful with what I use and how often I use it.
My goal is to better educate you on cannabis, as well as, provide you a safe marketplace for awesome products. Personally, I fully vet every company I “get in bed” with. I do not want to bring you a crappy product from a crappy company. Every product listed on my website, I have personally used at one point in time, actually I have used everything but the pet products. (I don’t suggest you use the Pet oil for yourself.) I’m all about breaking stigmas around this gorgeous plant.
What is CBD, Cannabidiol?

Cannabidiol or CBD, is a cannabiniod found in the cannabis plant. CBD will not make you feel “high”. You can find CBD in all forms of cannabis. Scientific research has found that CBD has potential medicinal benefits. The FDA, June of 2018, approved the first medicine containing CBD. Epidiolex is used to treat seizures caused by epilepsy. As research progresses on humans, more will come to light on what CBD can actually help. As of today, the FDA hasn’t released any other guidelines or regulations on CBD. It’s anti-anxiety and anti-inflammatory potential is a reason why the spotlight is on this cannabinoid.
What is a cannabinoid?
Cannabinoids are the chemistry part of cannabis. They are active compounds found in the cannabis plant. We think there are more than 60 cannabinoids in cannabis, however we are still learning about this amazing plant. Cannabinoids work with your Endocannabinoid system or ECS in your body.

What is the difference between marijuana and hemp?
First let’s start with Cannabis, which is a flowering plant grown outdoors and indoors. There are three different types of the Cannabis flower – C. Indica, C. Sativa, C. Ruderalis. Each flower produces cannabinoids– chemical compounds including, CBD and THC, along with many other different variables and compounds.
Marijuana – AKA C. Indica, weed, mary jane, – has higher levels of THC. You know the big, scary THC (only scary to big pharma, big tabacco, alcohol, and of course our government) can cause you to be elevated or high. As of today, cannabis is legal in over 33 states in America, medicinal and/or recreational. Unfortunately, the federal government still has cannabis listed as a schedule 1 drug.
On the other end, Hemp has smaller levels of THC. The legal amount is .3% in dry weight to be considered legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Hemp is used for it’s extract (CBD), food, paper products, textiles, plastics, skincare, construction, livestock bedding and feed, just to name a few.

Will I fail a drug test?
If you choose a full spectrum CBD oil, trace amounts of THC can be found. This CAN show up on a drug test. However, it will depend on your body and how it metabolizes THC. At home THC tests can be done to see if you are positive for THC. Being upfront with your employer is an option. Emerald Cannabliss is currently in the process of looking for a THC-Free oil to offer.
What is the Endocannabinoid System?

Let’s break down the word to better understand what it means, “cannbiniod” comes from cannabis and “endo” short for “endogenous” which is produced inside your body naturally. So, endocannbiniod means that cannabis like substances can happen naturally inside your body. The Endocannbiniod system controls your body’s mood, psychology, and everyday experiences. We have at least two cannabiniod receptors in our body; CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptor is your central nervous system and CB2 receptor is your nerves in extremities, digestive system, and immune system. Endoannabiniod receptors can be found around your body and are very important. You can check out more on your endocannabinoid system here.
