Kentucky Hemp Works has done it again! They have seriously hit it out of the park with this new lotion! They took their Hemp Root Salve and turned it into a lotion! My mind is blown seriously! They just recently released their latest product Hemp infused lotion and I’m over the moon with it. They posted the new product on Facebook last week and without hestation I emailed Katie to send me some ASAP! It was on my door step on Saturday and let me tell you the excitement was serious!
This lotion is made with Kentucky Hemp Works hemp seeds and hemp roots. Both of these are amazing for your skin! What does it actually do for your skin? Well, it hydrates, strengthens, and protects your skin. I have been using my new lotion for the last 4 days and my hands are silky smooth. I’m constantly using it. It feels light and amazing on my skin. I wash my hands several times throughout the day, so I have extra dry skin from the weather and constantly washing. I get red, dry, chapped hands to the point, it hurts so bad. Not this year, Kentucky Hemp Works saved me this winter for sure!
When you open the lid on the glass 5 oz jar, and look at the lotion it is foamy looking. Light foam is my first impression. Like all the of the products I have, a little goes a long way. You don’t use much but it does pack a pretty big punch with just a dip of your finger! I have samples available, if you are interested in trying this new lotion.
First off, let me say this product does not contain any active cannabinoids (CBD and THC). “The Green Stuff”, AKA Kentucky Hemp Works Hemp Root salve, is all around amazing. This little 2 oz tin is the most powerful tin you will EVER OWN. Every single person that has applied this salve has fell in love, including myself and family. I want to explain more on how this amazing salve works and what we use it for, which is EVERYTHING.
With just 4 ingredients, hemp seed oil, hemp root, beeswax, and essential oils, it packs a powerful punch to dry skin. Kentucky Hemp Works is an FDA registered facility, and they hand make their hemp root salve in a small town in Kentucky. They have been in the game since Kentucky pushed hemp through in 2013. Actually, they were involved in the process in Frankfort. I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about this company.
Now to the good stuff, I mean the green stuff. I personally use this for the following; achy joints, eczema, sunburns, antibacterial, dry skin, cuts, hair conditioner. I add to this list often. My go-to is this silver tin that is sitting around my home, EVERYWHERE. I often use this on my daughter who has sensitive skin and eczema. We prefer this to aloe when we are sunburnt, too. It is just as effective without the stickiness of aloe. It takes the sting out of burns while moisturizing our damaged sun kissed skin. We rub this from our head to toes usually. A little goes a long way even when we are applying daily. They last a long time between 3 people using it…for everything.
From my grandmother to my daughter, my entire family uses this green stuff. Dry skin to help reduce wrinkles we apply it, daily. We keep regular stock in this product because we are in love with it. If you have tried this product as well please leave a comment on what it has helped you with!

Emerald Cannabliss was invited to Kentucky Hemp Works to tour their facility. Katie Moyer Arzamastseva, the owner of KHW, has got it going on down in Crofton Ky.. They are finding new ways to use hemp and experimenting with growing. Katie gave me a sneak peak as to what is next for KHW products. We also spoke about changing rules and regulations in the hemp industry. She has been in the industry since 2013, and worked with legislative to get the hemp pilot program started in 2014 in Kentucky.
KHW has teamed up with a local farmer to grow and manufactures most of her hemp goodies, including my favorite “green stuff.” The hemp root salve doesn’t have any active cannabinoids in it. The ingredients include parts of the hemp plant – hemp roots, hemp seed, beewax, and essential oils. You can use this on anything that burns, itches, or hurts. We have put it on just about everything including bug bites, sunburns, eczema, and dry skin. They also have firestarters, CBD oil paired with hemp seed oil, hemp seed oil by the gallon, and protein powder.
When Katie isn’t making hemp products, she is battling the good fight for hemp at Kentucky’s capital, Frankfort. She is fighting to make changes locally and on a state level, not just laws but regulations and rules. We spoke about her current task, changing AG rules and regulations to let hemp flow through the great state of Kentucky. I hope to team up with Katie in the future to bring more hemp education to my community.
She started with a sink and a fridge in a barn. She has since grown her location and brand with the help of her family and friends. They have some amazing things happening. I’m excited to offer you a brand that has so much heart and passion with what they are doing. Thank you to the Kentucky Hemp Works team for letting me come by!
This company is amazing! Kentucky Hemp Works is in Crofton, Kentucky and run by 2 inspiring women. I wanted a brand from my state as well as all of my customers. I was told from a customer, I can’t verify that it is true, hemp is like honey. If grown in your region, then it will help combat allergies. I’m trying to verify this information, if you are a grower and know the answers please reach out.
KHW -Hemp Root Salve – Jasmine and Lemon
I’m going to start with the hemp root salve – Jasmine and Lemon. This salve doesn’t have any CBD or cannabinoids. It is made with hemp seed oil, hemp roots, beeswax, essential oils. I used this on my daughters eczema it cleared up with in a day. Her leg was full of dry patches and I didn’t realize it until it got to the point she couldn’t take a bath because it hurt to be in hot water. We put it on that day and by bath time the next day it was 80% cleared up. The worst patch was still there but not red nor dry looking. I also use this on my hands because they are extremely dry in the winter and spring time. I have noticed a huge difference from using lotion and this salve. My best friend also used this on her eczema and it cleared it up within a day. A little goes a long way with this salve. One tin should last a very long time. It doesn’t leave an oily or any residue and the smell isn’t strong either. It is so good for my family’s skin!
KHW – Hemp Firestarters
Hemp firestarters are amazing. We use these for fires in our backyard. They light up quick and burn for at least 5 mins. The smell is great, it doesn’t smell like cannabis. I always burn my old paper bills and important paperwork I don’t need anymore to start my fires. I do not use as much paper when I’m using these firestarters. These would make a great add on item to your order.
KHW – CBD Tincture
Kentucky Hemp Works tincture tastes earthy because they use the hemp seed oil to pair with hemp extract. This gives you extra fatty acids like Omega -6 and Omega-3. The difference between hemp seed and oil and hemp extract is hemp seed oil is made from the hemp seed by crushing them. Hemp extract is made from the whole plant that gives you the cannabinoids, like CBD. The benefits this tincture gives me is a relaxing, chill feeling. I have been taking this tincture at night to help me relax and fall asleep. Another thing I love about this tincture is that the hemp is grown in Kentucky.
Kentucky Hemp Works is a key player in Kentucky hemp politics. Katie, the founder of KHW, travels to Frankfort to educated law makers and others on hemp. I am so excited to support this company because of the product and what they stand for.
Education over stigma spread the word!
